How to make right choices/decisions?
Lord Krishna says : "We are all in the business of collecting data. What we call experiences are nothing but spiritual data. As our data gets broader and better our vision gets clearer and we understand the real meaning and purpose of life. What we call ignorance is nothing but decisions based on limited data, what we call knowledge on the other hand is decisions spanning many horizons."
More data you have more wise decision you take.

Think, when you are sick, you consult a doctor to prescribe some medicines, why you go to doctor? Because he has more data, he has done special studies in medical field and by knowing the symptoms he can prescribe the right medicines. Here it does not matter you are consulting Allopathic, Homeopathic, Ayurvedic... all are different streams of medical science and work with one aim.....cure your disease.
Similarly, if you are facing difficulty in life and want to know purpose of life then you should consult a spiritual master or read scriptures, collect data and then you will come to know about the purpose of this human life. If you have right data then you will make right choices too. It does not matter you are following Krishna, Allah, Jesus.....they all are different streams of spiritual science and work with one aim.....tell you the purpose of life and remove all kind of anxieties which you have built over time.
Human life is precious, very very precious, one should not waste it. But how you will come to know that you are wasting your life or not? Correct, this is not a easy job, but decision made through right lens of knowledge will help you to make a right choice.
We do same things as Animals do - eating, sleeping, mating and defending but we do in a more sophisticated way. is that the only difference between Animal and Human? Nope, definitely not, we can do enquiry, we can ask who we are, we can do research, read scriptures and find out who we are and what is the purpose of our life. whom to ask?
Definitely, You can find a bonafide guru and moreover your spiritual guru need not to be a live person, it could be his books or scriptures written by great Sages like Bhagavad Gita, Bhagvatam, Bible, Quran etc. No matter what practice you follow, all scriptures will tell you one thing that there is one supreme God and human life is to serve the supreme, so that we can go back to The God head and come out from this birth-old age-disease-death cycle. No scripture will ask you do wrong things like kill someone to win the mercy of God. All scriptures suggest the various methodologies of serving God, so that you can be united back with supreme. These methodologies are called Yoga which is further classified into Karma, Bhakti and Gyan yoga. This is nicely explained in great detail by Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita and reading Gita could be a game changer for you as it was a game changer for many.
